AI-Built Websites: Make It Production-Ready

Built it with AI? Good. Now let's make it work properly.

“I built it but don't know how to get it online.”

AI tools now let a business owner produce a working website, landing page, store, internal tool or prototype in an afternoon. That's genuinely useful, and we'd never tell you to throw it away. But generating something is one stage. Getting it live, keeping it secure, making it findable and turning visitors into customers are others, and they're where projects usually stall.

We treat what you've built as an asset. We assess it honestly, work out what's missing, fix what needs fixing, launch it properly and then help it earn: search visibility, tracking, conversion and marketing. Sometimes the code is fine. Sometimes parts need rework. We'll tell you which, without pushing a rebuild you don't need.

Signs this is what you need

  • You built a website, store, MVP or app with an AI tool and it works on screen
  • You have code but no production environment
  • You have a domain and no idea how to connect it
  • It works, but you're not confident it's secure or maintainable
  • You have a working product and no customers

When you probably don't need it

  • You only need the tool's own publish button and the result is a simple brochure page
  • You want to prototype further: finish exploring first, then bring us the version worth launching

Telling you this is part of the job.

The gap

What you've built → what's missing → what needs fixing → what needs launching → what needs growing

AI is very good at producing the parts you can see. The parts you can't see are what make it a business asset: the setup around it. Here's what commonly still needs attention.

  • Domain configuration and DNS
  • Hosting, deployment and environment setup
  • Security: secrets, dependencies, input handling, access control
  • Authentication and user data handling
  • Database configuration, backups and recovery
  • Payments set up and tested properly
  • Email that sends and arrives
  • Analytics and conversion tracking
  • SEO fundamentals: crawlability, metadata, structured data
  • Performance, mobile experience and accessibility
  • Monitoring and ongoing maintenance
  • Conversion: does the page actually turn visits into enquiries?
  • Marketing and customer acquisition

Working with your tools

Use the tools you like. We work with what you have.

We're not here to argue with your tools. If you build with AI, keep doing it. We help make what you build production-ready and help the business around it work, and we're happy to leave you able to keep iterating safely afterwards.

Is what you've built production-ready?

For websites, stores, prototypes and apps, however they were built. Answer honestly; the gaps show what to look at before real customers arrive. It's a guided self-assessment, not a security audit.

Getting it live

Is your domain registered in your name, and does it point at the live site?
Is it running on proper hosting (not a laptop, a preview link or a temporary address)?
Does it load over HTTPS with no browser warnings, including on www and non-www?
Does email from your domain send and arrive (not land in spam), including form notifications?

Security & stability

Are passwords, API keys and other secrets kept out of the code and public repositories?
If people log in, has authentication been reviewed (password handling, sessions, permissions)?
Are the platform, libraries and plugins current, and is someone responsible for updates?
Are there automatic backups that you've tested restoring?
Would you find out quickly if the site went down or a form stopped working?

Works for real people

Have you tested every form, payment and login end to end on a real phone?
Is it fast and stable on mobile data?
Is it usable with a keyboard, with readable contrast and image descriptions?

Ready to grow

Can search engines crawl it, and does each page have a clear title, description and structure?
Do you track the actions that matter (enquiries, bookings, purchases) and have you tested them?
Do you have a plan for how the first customers will find it?

Common Questions

Before you get in touch

Is AI-generated code good enough to launch?

Sometimes, with review. It varies enormously by tool, prompt and project. The parts that most often need work are the invisible ones: security, data handling, error handling and setup. An assessment tells you where yours stands.

Will you tell me to rebuild everything?

Only if the assessment says it's warranted. Most projects need targeted fixes and proper launch work, not a rewrite.

Do I need to stop using AI tools?

No. AI can help you build. We help you make what you build actually work, and keep it working.

Tell us what isn't working.

You don't need to know exactly what you need. We'll work out what actually needs to be built, fixed, improved or changed, and tell you if the answer is 'nothing'.
